Booking system for bowling centers

Your guests book their lane online, your team runs the day in the lane plan. Phone bookings, deposits, birthday parties and gift vouchers all come together in one system.

Why a system built for bowling?

A general appointment calendar knows nothing about lanes. In a bowling center, a group needs one or several lanes depending on its size, and those lanes should be next to each other. The price depends on time and weekday, leagues block fixed lanes, and walk-ins and phone calls arrive at the front desk.

OpenBowling is built for exactly this business. Online booking and front desk work in the same lane plan, so there are no double bookings and no list that someone has to update by hand.

What OpenBowling does in a bowling center

  • Your own booking page: guests book around the clock, via link or embedded in your website.
  • Available start times with price and utilization indicator; closed days and taken slots are blocked automatically.
  • Large groups: several lanes are assigned next to each other automatically.
  • Lane plan for the front desk: add, move and extend bookings, in real time for the whole team.
  • Pricing rules by time, weekday, public holiday, season and school holidays.
  • Online deposits via PayPal or Stripe, paid directly to your center's account.
  • Children's birthday parties and corporate events as bookable packages.
  • Recurring bookings for leagues and regular groups on fixed lanes.
  • Voucher shop with value and experience vouchers.

How an online booking works

  1. The guest picks date, duration and number of people

The booking page only shows times that are actually free. The number of people determines how many lanes are needed.

  2. The price is fixed before submitting

Total price and deposit are calculated immediately, separately for adults and children or teenagers.

  3. The guest confirms by email

The booking only becomes binding after the guest clicks the confirmation link. That keeps prank reservations out.

  4. The booking appears in the lane plan

Your team sees it right away. The guest receives a confirmation with booking code, QR code and calendar entry, and a reminder 24 hours before.

More than classic bowling

Many centers offer other games next to their classic lanes. Duckpin, soccer bowling, shuffleboard, billiards and darts run in the same system, each with its own prices and its own booking flow.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need new hardware or an installation?
No. OpenBowling runs in the browser: on the front desk computer, on a tablet and on a phone.
Can I embed the booking page in my website?
Yes. You can link to the booking page or embed it directly in your website.
What about phone bookings and walk-ins?
Your team enters both in the lane plan. Online and front desk bookings share one plan, and the system checks for overlaps automatically.
Where is the data stored?
On servers in Germany. A data processing agreement (DPA) is included.
