Make duckpin lanes bookable online

Duckpin appeals to families, children and beginners. In OpenBowling, duckpin is a lane type of its own: bookable separately, priced separately and clearly distinguishable from classic lanes in the lane plan.

What duckpin means for booking

Duckpin is played with a smaller ball without finger holes on shorter pins. For operations this means different lanes, often a different price and a different audience than classic bowling. A guest who books duckpin must not end up on a classic lane – and vice versa.

OpenBowling keeps the lane types cleanly apart. Every lane carries its type, and a booking only uses matching lanes.

How duckpin is handled in OpenBowling

  • A separate tile on the booking page so guests can pick duckpin deliberately.
  • Separate pricing rules, independent of classic bowling.
  • A direct link that leads straight to the duckpin booking – for a dedicated promotion page, for example.
  • A short label at the top of the lane in the lane plan so the team recognizes the lane type at a glance.
  • Groups needing several lanes are placed on adjacent duckpin lanes.

Setup

We activate the duckpin lane type for your center. You then assign the type to your lanes and create the prices. As long as not every lane has a type, the selection stays hidden from guests – so a half-configured lane type never becomes bookable.

Duckpin can be combined with soccer bowling and classic bowling in the same center.
