Lane Commander: the digital lane plan for the front desk

All lanes, all bookings, one screen. The Lane Commander shows the whole day in a grid and keeps every device in the center on the same page.

From paper plan to live plan

The paper plan at the front desk has one drawback: it sits in exactly one place. Whoever takes a booking by phone in the office does not know what has just been written down out front. And whatever comes in online has to be transferred by someone.

The Lane Commander is the lane plan everyone sees at the same time. Every change appears on all devices immediately, without reloading the page. Online bookings sit in the same plan as the entries from the front desk.

Working in the lane plan

  • All lanes of a day in a grid, with zoom, day navigation and a marker for the current time.
  • Enter phone bookings and walk-ins in seconds; the system suggests remaining free time.
  • Move or extend bookings with the mouse, and copy them to several lanes if needed.
  • Overlaps, opening hours and minimum duration are checked automatically.
  • Bookings across midnight are possible.
  • A status per booking: confirmed, checked in, completed or cancelled.
  • Every action can be undone.

For everyday work at the front desk

  • Check-in by QR code: a staff phone becomes the scanner.
  • Late guests are flagged as possible no-shows.
  • Lane breakdown: set a lane to maintenance; the system lists the affected bookings and moves them to a suitable lane.
  • Closing early: when it is quiet, one click adjusts the opening hours.
  • Screen lock after inactivity, optionally with a PIN.
  • The day plan as a PDF by email every morning – also as a paper fallback.

Runs on the device you already have

The Lane Commander needs no installation. It runs in the browser on the front desk computer, on a tablet and on a phone. Separate logins for management and staff make sure the team can book but does not see settings, payments or exports.
